"Fall Report"

How about a report for us guys coming up this weekend. Are the crappie going good yet at the Elbow and Bottleneck? Walleye in the fall pattern? Looking forward to another great fall trip! |

Picked up a few eyes in fall pattern last weekend. Also did OK in the bottleneck on crappie. Not fast and furious, but close. Back up this weekend, 10/7, but unsure if I'll make it on the lake as there are fall projects to get done. Just not enough hours in the day. |

Just got back from Morson and the fishing was good. The weather was great. No Crappie action in the Elbow yet and very slow at Bottleneck and Thomson Creek. We had some success at Hay Island but the pattern was different every day. We got Walleyes from Miles Bay out to McPherson Island and many spots in between. The Fall Muskie bite was just heating up. |

Just returned from an eight day trip. Crappies were very slow at Thompson Creek and Obabikon. At Obabikon on Tues. it was so slow and the weather was so nice that I anchored and my wife, dog and I layed down in the boat and took a nap. Walleye was very good and good size too. Didn't troll for muskie until Friday and picked up a fat 40" in the first ten minutes. Great weather and another great trip. Was nice to run across some old friends on the water and meet some new ones. |

Returned home on Friday. Crappies never really got any better at Thompson Creek area. Chased down to Hay Island and finished with our limits. Size was smaller than in previous years. Did well on walleyes, 8#, 7# and a couple of sixes while fishing crappies. Caught walleyes in our usual Fall spots. Gull Bay was producing for those who chased out there. Good duck hunting. Brought back three limits. A lot of different species. We hunted east of Morson. Didn't go west at all. Muskie action was good for those trolling. Ran out of time with all our fishing , hunting and of course DOCK repairs. |
