"Carp in Lake of the Woods"
| |
Hi guys, I am coming to Lake of the Woods in September 2005 and am starting to try and get some information. Does anyone know if there are any numbers of carp in Lake of the Woods. We are staying at a place called Andy Lake if that helps. And any ideas on baits etc to use would be good. Thanks Ian |

I don't think there are any carp in LOTW. I fish carp regularly and I have tried it on the big lake and have not caught any. Also, they are not listed in the lakes "available species". |

Thanks for your reply Jason. That's a big shame to me because us Brits are into carp in a big way. I know most Canadians see them as a pest fish but I was hoping to hook into a few big ones. |

>This is a joke, right? >What a bunch of idiots. >Everyone knows suckers are better fish than carp. >jeesh. >And don't forget small northerns. >Why don't you folks just go to Iowa. Easy Grecian Man... I'm over from U.K. and a Carp enthusiast so I'm asking the question. If you've nothing helpful to add to this thread then just go play with the traffic !!!

Only problem I'll have is that I got a whole bunch of relatives with me who expect a holiday out of this (Damn !!!) and I bet you're gonna tell me that Winnipeg River is about 200 miles from Lake Of The Woods ???
