"Which Lures/Spinners"

I will be fishing at Kenora part of Lake of the Woods in September 2005 and am going to start stockpiling the lures/spinners for the trip.
Can anyone tell me the names & makes of the best lures/spinners to use in September time to catch the whole variety of fish in the lake. My brother-in-law is coming to Florida in August of this year so I am hoping he can bring a load back (Cheaper than here in the U.K.).
Thanks for any advice.

Ian

A lot of people tie there own spinners so I don't think brand is of too much importance. Most spinners seem to have 30 lbs of strength. The size of the hook is another matter of perference. Some like a bigger one, others like it smaller.

The most popular colours we sell are hammered gold and hammered silver when it comes to spinners. Red and white is also another popular one as well as regular gold and silver. They always seem to work well on LOW.

   Thanks Justin,
What about lures. Am I looking at big ones, small ones, deep sinking ones or surface lures. What about the different Rapala ones.. maybe they're ok.
thanks

We used the five inch jointed Rapalas and had most success with the firetiger color. The other jointed Rapala color we scored well with was chartreuse, but they're not always easy to find. If you decide you're going to go with jointed Rapalas and are able to find them in chartreuse - grab more than one. They were rather universal in that we caught northern pike, smallmouth bass, and muskie. The only thing though is that I think you mentioned you'd be there in September. We were fishing in late June casting in 5 to 15 feet of water. I've not been up there in the fall, so I have no clue if these colors also work for fall fishing. Shoot, but if you're going to be up there in September, take advantage of the muskie fishing. I believe that's prime time.
Good luck,
Bhomis

   Thanks Bhomis,
I had heard a little about the various rapala lures so that's good to know. We've got until September 2005 to store up some lures so plenty of time yet. Caught a few pike over in U.K but never anything large and I can't wait to hook into a Muskie !
Thanks
Ian
