Doug: Have you been up to your cabin on Whitefish this winter? How much snow is on the lake up there/ We are heading back up to our trailer Feb. 15th for some Lake Trout fishing. Did real good first week in Jan. Just need to know what the snow and ice conditions are. |

Hi! Not much snow, and lots of good ice. Good combination for exploring. Leaving tomorrow for Kentucky for two months. It'll be nice to sit in a boat on open water. Hope the stripers are biting. Doug Johnson |

With the rapidly warming weather, we are seeing pressure ridges popping up all over. Some with open water gaps. With the continuing warm weather, it should only get worse for a while, and I would advise caution when traveling on the ice right now. Especially in the dark. Certainly no looming danger. But keep your eyes open. |
