The opening weekeng was very good to Ashley Meunier of
Thief River Falls. Ashley was part of a group that went over to Whitefish
Bay to fish some trout off shore and she pulled in this nice trout (15 pounds)
as well as a monster northern (41.5 inches.) Justin Brown (right) also
caught a nice trout (10 pounds.)

This huge 19.5" smallie is the big bass of the year so
far and will take the gift certificate to Moores Lures if someone can't top
it by the end of October. I thought somone else in the group caught
one the same size, but no picture means no credit. Right, Chuck? HAHA

Jimmy caught and released this 50" muskie while casting
for Northern. It was the first 50 incher of the year and a sign of things
to come for muskie fisherman in 2004.

This monster was caught and RELEASED on
May 24, 2004. Harry wanted to make sure to mention it was a minnow
from Mylie's on the hook and gas from Mylie's in the boat. Great catch,
Ron. Great picture taking, Harry. Thank you so much for sending
it up to us. NOTE: I've seen been informed that this fish was
28.5 inches and around 9 pounds. Harry either BS'd me to the max or
"forgot" how big it was. In any case, it sure is a nice fish. I
hope the false advertising didn't cause any of you to miss a family wedding
or call in sick to work to come up and try to beat Ron's "32 inch" fish.
