NOVEMBER 2004 FISH PICTURES!!

Yes, that's right.  November fishing pictures from Mylie's Place and Lake of the Woods.  I had a great opportunity to fish with Randy B for a full day on November 1 after we got the resort all blown out and drained for the winter.  It was the first time I had spend a full day in the boat since I was a kid I think.  I told Randy it was the first time in longer than I could remember that I didn't worry about something going wrong back at camp or someone not getting the best service because nobody was there to help them out.  I was able to get a small glimpse of why people enjoy the lake so much.  I do look forward a little bit to the times I can be maybe be out there just to enojoy the beauty of Lake of the Woods.  A good trip for me will be judged on whether or not I hit a rock though.  Any fish in the boat of any kind would be secondary.

Here are the photos from November 1.  Click to enlarge.  I hope everyone enjoyed the phots this year.  I will be adding more as some people send in some that they took with their 35 mm cameras over the summer.   Take care.

                                 35 inches                                        32.5 inches                                     36 inches

This fish measured 44" x 19.5" and is number two in terms of  my personl best size.  Randy took a really nice shot of the release that I wanted to include as well.

We had a decent day, especially considering we didn't get fishing til almost 10 am and lost Randy's number one trolling bait on the first spot we tried.  The day started with me getting a 35 inch fish and the a 44 incher back to back.  Randy then got one that was just sliver under 36 before the afternoon slowed down.  I pulled the last one in and it turned out to be 32.5 inches.  Randy missed one that might have been a beauty for the last action of the day before it started to get dark and we had to quit.  We fish the morning of November 2 as well and didn't get a sniff of action.  It was a bummer to get skunked the last day,  but as Randy always says, "That's muskie fishin."  Randy is becoming quite the fish photographer too.  I like to think I taught him as much about taking pictures of fish as he taught me about catching fish.  However, taking pictures is pretty easy once you get the hang of the digital camera so that wouldn't be quite fair.  HAHAHA
