When you have one experienced "guide"
and 7 other good anglers, you can have a pretty good week of fishing on
LOW. Long time June angler, Ken MacCauley put 200 miles on his
alumacraft finding walleyes for his group in a week of fishing and
described it as his best fishing ever on Lake of the Woods.

The Wessels/Becker Annual Mylie's
trip in June got off to a nice start with Bruce and Shelley catching a
couple nice walleyes, but then on Cliff found a giant and got a share
of the largest release walleye lead. Amazingly, on the same day,
first time Mylie's guest (but Lake of the Woods veteran) Leland, caught
and released another huge walleye that created a three-way tie for
first place. We will run out of plates on the Lloyd Abel
Memorial Award for the largest walleye release each year if we have to
put on 3 names a season!
Both walleyes measured 29.5" and both walleyes were safely RELEASED!
