Here is a sampling of the hot fishing action that has taken place in July 2008.  Formatted to fit 1024 x 768 resolution.  Click each of the photos to view a larger size.

July started out with a bang when it came to muskies.  Despite the bite not being on, Pete Kica was able to nail a 49.25" muskie to take the lead in the largest muskie release category.  The photo to the right is a 40 incher that was caught by Dennis Leoni.

Ron Gronseth's boat had some good fishing over a few days.  Here are only a few of the 20" and biggers walleyes that 96 year old Louis caught.  Also pictured are a norther and muskie that were caught while jigging for walleyes.  I guess Louis was the only one with the walleye touch this trip!




Brian Hansen caught and released a personal best walleye during their annual walleye trip.  Congrats to Brian on a great fish and successful release. 

29" walleye - caught and released July 17, 2008.

Barb Neddo is making a return trip to the picture pages in 2008.  During their annual week of July muskie fishing, Barb caught this 48" chunky muskie.  Congrats to Barb on her biggest muskie ever.  Another personal best from LOTW.  I've included a photo of Tom releasing the fish as well.

Awesome 29" chunky summer walleye that was released. 
The Leach Group are walleye catching machines and this was the prize catch of 2008.

The Widmer Group had a pretty good week of July fishing in 2008.  Here are some of the photos they took of their caught and released muskies & northerns fish.

That was some good action Widmers!  Thanks for the great pictures.  I see a couple 50's in the future for July 2009!

Meanwhile, during the same week.  "The Berkley Boys" had some pretty darn decent fishing as well.  Here is some proof.  I'm definily taking that big nitro bass boat with the foot peddle throttle for a spin in 2010 for sure.  I can't pass up the chance if the offer is still good next year.  YEE HAW!!

We think Rob catches a few fish early in the mornings when he goes out before anyone else wakes up.  Even if he doesn't, he's a heck of a guide so he'll always have a place in the group, right guys?

The big walleye and northern went back into the lake, but I'm not sure about the 22" walleye.  That may have went into the fry pan!

The Lehman/Hinchcliff summer outing was a success as well.  Imagine that, the last week of July!!  A couple of these photos were from the first few days in August, but I will include them all together.  All 8 members of the 2 families put a muskie in the boat on this trip.  It doesn't get much better than that!!
