Some of you may not know about the gale force winds
that rearranged our docks on October 5, 2005. At over 45 MPH for nearly
a full day, they were the highest we've ever experienced since we've been
at the resort. They worst part of it was the direction they came from.
The northeast wind is the only wind that can create a problem with
wave action in our bay and well, wave action doesn't quite cover what we
saw on October 5, 2005. The good news is, nobody was hurt and we'll
be able to put things back together for next spring. As usual, when
something goes wrong, we'll do our best to find a way to make it stronger
and better than it was before. Here are some photos for those interested
in what happened that day.
Here is the before. Quite, peaceful. A little fog in the morning.
Take a week or so before the wind storm. Everything is where
it should be.
Here's one from taken from almos the same spot as the
above photo, except during the big blow. Click on these to enlarge.
Then after. When things has calmed down a little.
A bit of a mess, eh? Click these to enlarge as well.
